I bought my laptop specifically from Portacom because they sell high quality machines that will last a long time. Recently, I encountered a problem with my internet connection speed and tried to solve it in several different ways. Although geographically closer computer stores didn’t respond to my messages, Andrew from Portacom kept responding almost every day with a new idea about something I could try. Initially, I thought it must have been a hardware problem resulting from the heat of summer but eventually we figured out that it was actually a software problem caused by an update of something I no longer needed. All I had to do was uninstall that and everything worked fine again. I’m most grateful for Portacom’s calm and consistent efforts to help me and would recommend them to anyone.
I just wanted to say I have been very pleased with the service and assistance provided by Portacom regarding the repairs I requested.
I had left the laptops at the repair depot for a considerable amount of time while waiting for updates from the users about the quotes.
During this time, the staff were very patient and helpful while waiting for any kind of update. Once the quotes were decided upon, the repairs were completed very quickly and updates given.
I am very happy with the service provided.
I had traipsed all over Perth looking for any 80 x 80mm CPU fan which would fit my desktop PC, with no luck. I finally headed for Portacom in West Perth (my first visit there).
The service staff were totally pleasant and helpful. The first guy came out to attend to the first customer, then he realised I was also waiting, and he immediately buzzed for another staff member to appear and look after my query. This taller, quietly spoken chap, Steve I think, treated my request seriously [it was after all only a CPU fan probably selling for about $5 that I wanted]. He said he’d check it out. He was back in 2 or 3 minutes with the exact fan and heatsink!!
It felt like Christmas to me. I could finally get my PC working again.
So I would like to thank Steve and also the management of Portacom Service department for fostering such a client focussed attitude towards customers.

Portacom has the best customer service EVER. I bought a monitor from Portacom today but it came with the wrong cable I called them and within a matter of 3 hours a staff member bought me the right cable to my office. Other companies should take a look and learn from Portacom on how to treat a customer.

The repair was superbly undertaken and the replacement parts as recommended/installed by you are working exceptionally well and to date…I would also like to thank you and all I had dealt with at Portacom for accommodating me in every way possible. I was and still am very grateful.
Portacom gave me some of the best advice about the difference between retail quality verses commercial standard. I now own the best machine I have ever owned and the back up 24hour service is second to none. I will never buy another computer from anywhere else. Portacom in my eyes is the only shop to buy computers and get the right advice.
The staff at Portacom gave exceptional service to two elderly brothers, my father and uncle when they purchased new HP Laptops. Setting them up and copying over numerous documents, emails and downloads not only took time, but the staff patiently explained all the aspects of the new laptops and updated Microsoft version. Portacom are highly recommended for their computer knowledge, service and patience, especially in the private sector.
It is remarkable to find such a professional, well informed and genuinely helpful company as Portacom. Recently I had the misfortune of experiencing a malware attack on my computer which made it totally inaccessible. It was at this point that I started to appreciate the extremely high level of Portacoms’s service and support. I contacted Portacom and within about 30 minutes of the attack, my laptop was accessible again and on the mend. Over the next few days the staff guided me through each of the steps to get everything up and running again and protecting the computer from further attacks. I can honestly say that I am not sure what I would have done without their support and dedication.
So my advice would be-buy a computer from Portacom, and you will also get a large slice of peace of mind built into the purchase!

We experienced intermittent connection to the internet followed by complete disconnection for three days, potentially catastrophic for our business. Due to the efforts of our ISP and Portacom, the fault was identified. I have met and dealt with a lot of information technology specialists since first using computers in 1987 and I can safely confirm that I haven’t met anyone with the depth of experience, ability to “think outside of the box” and innovative approach to problem solving as your employees.

I had an old Toshiba Tecra rebuilt by your technicians a couple of weeks ago and the machine runs so well now I am sorry I didn’t do it sooner. The job was completed very promptly, quicker than I expected. I am also happy that the particular software I had problems with was loaded up and was working nicely when I got home…It was well worth the service cost and we will be bringing some more laptops in for a clean up.
